Review by hotel critic
During my recent visit to the Weber in Amsterdam, I was pleasantly surprised by the balance of luxury and value that this hotel offers. Our room was spacious and tidy, showcasing a sleek wooden floor and equipped with essential conveniences such as a kitchenette with a microwave, electric kettle, and even a Nespresso machine. These touches added a level of comfort that few budget accommodations provide. Location-wise, the Weber is ideally situated just a short stroll from major museums, shopping districts, and charming canals, making it perfect for those eager to immerse themselves in the vibrant essence of the city. While I had read reviews highlighting potential noise from the bar below, we experienced no disturbances-perhaps a stroke of luck or simply a reflection of our well-placed room. One small caveat is the steep stairs leading to the top floor, which could be challenging for some. With the option to request a lower floor, this shouldn't dissuade potential guests. The warm welcome from the staff, combined with its amenities and prime location, certainly makes the Weber a solid choice for those seeking value in the heart of Amsterdam without sacrificing comfort.
